The Olympic Games organisers have confirmed when the athletics tickets are set to go on sale and how to purchase the tickets since they will be limited in number.

Track and field fans worldwide were worried about the price of Olympic tickets and their availability but the 2024 Olympic Games organisers have good news.

During the next announcement on Monday, March 4, where the unveiling of the official poster for the Games, there will be a release of additional tickets with a special focus on Athletics, the crème de la crème of the global bonanza.

As per Inside the Games, the new tickets for the athletics events scheduled for August 2 to 10, will officially be on sale on Monday will go on sale on March 4 from 10 am (noon EAT) on the official Paris 2024 ticketing website tickets.paris2024.org.

It was further noted that several tens of thousands of new tickets will go on sale. This is specially organised by Paris 2024 leading up to the Games where fans will have the opportunity to buy tickets.

Except for the marathons and the race walking, all events will be held at the Stade de France or St. Denis, located in the north of Paris and has a capacity of 80,000 spectators.

These "special tickets" come after strong criticism of the high price of tickets for Athletics at Paris 2024 with World Athletics President Seb Coe being one of the people who lamented.

The tickets will only have one address sale, the tickets.paris2024.org. with some of the athletics ticket categories being available in very limited numbers.

Tickets from €24 (approximately Ksh 4,000) for the morning sessions with €85 (about Ksh 13,500) for the evening sessions, which include several finals each day.

The session including the men's 100m final is available from €125 (Ksh 120,000). A sale will be open to all, with no draw, and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be a maximum of 30 Olympic tickets purchased per ticketing account, taking into account the previous orders.
