Courtney Lindsey surged to a commanding 200m victory at the Rabat Diamond League and declared he is far from his peak, as he eyes a double at the US Olympic Championships.

Courtney Lindsey has sent a stark warning to his 100m and 200m rivals following his victory at the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat.

Courtney Lindsey claimed his first 200m win of the season in a hotly contested race, clocking a stunning 20.04 seconds ahead of Joseph Fahnbulleh and Fred Kerley.

The American sprinter opened his 2025 season with the 100m and 200m races in the first edition of the Grand Slam Track in Kingston, Jamaica, where he finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Lindsey then won the 100m at the Tom Jones Memorial before competing at the World Athletics Relays, where Team USA finished second.

He finished second behind Letsile Tebogo in the 200m at the Doha Diamond League before winning the race in Rabat.

The 26-year-old reflected on the race, noting that it was great and he did not struggle on his way to claim the win.

Lindsey Courtney revealed that he has been working on the 200m and was excited that things worked out in his favour finally.

He added that his main goal of the season will be to make the cut in the 100m and 200m at the US trials ahead of the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan.

Lindsey Courtney was also proud of himself for staying grounded and focusing on strengthening his mental health and improving his races, something that is seemingly working in his favour thus far.

“I feel like I can improve so much because I just ran what, 20.0 and I haven't touched the 19 yet. So, I feel good, I feel like once I go home and get some training in, I'll be ready to go,” Courtney Lindsey said after the race.

“I’ll go back for a training block for a couple of more days, and then I'll be heading out to Rome for the 100m. So, that's pretty much it.

“My mental, just staying in my own head and not letting the track world or anything get in my head. I’ve also been focusing on practice, listening to my coaches, and just staying focused.”

As he prepares for the tough competitions to come, Lindsey Courtney is looking forward to staying true to himself and focusing on getting better after each race.
