Athletics Kenya has unveiled grand plans for the sixth Kip Keino Classic at Ulinzi Sports Complex, aiming to deliver a star-studded competetive event.
The much-anticipated sixth edition of the Kip Keino Classic Continental Tour is set to light up the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday, May 31, with grand plans already in motion, according to event organizers.
Meet Director Barnaba Korir, who also serves as the Athletics Kenya (AK) Nairobi Branch chairman, has praised the Kenyan government for its unwavering support in facilitating the prestigious athletics event.

Korir assured fans and stakeholders that preparations are progressing well, noting that this year's edition promises to be a thrilling affair.
“The funds collected will go towards helping the youth camps that we have set base across the country. The government has been helpful and that is why we need a collective responsibility towards the growth of the sport in the country,” he said as quoted by Citizen Digital.
AK aims for The Kip Keino Classic to be a platform to inspire and empower the next generation of Kenyan athletes.
With proceeds from the event directed toward youth training camps nationwide, the organizers are reinforcing their commitment to nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
“This event is going to be very competitive. The athletes that we have visited are hungry for success and I can assure those who are going to attend the event of fireworks and it will be very interesting to watch,” Korir added.
