Kenyan star Agnes Ngetich outwitted a star-studded field to claim victory and the world record at Adizero.

Kenya’s Agnes Ngetich made history on Saturday, April 26, at the Adizero Road to Records event in, Germany, setting a new world record in the women-only 10km race.

The 24-year-old star blazed through the course in an astonishing 29 minutes and 27 seconds, becoming the first woman ever to break the 30-minute barrier in a women-only 10km race.

The previous record of 30:01 was set by the late Agnes Tirop back in 2021.

Ngetich crossed the finish line well ahead of her closest competitors, Ethiopia’s Fentaye Belayneh and Senayet Getachew, who both finished in 30:30 to take second and third place respectively.

It was another incredible milestone for Ngetich, who continues to redefine what’s possible on the road.
