'We want to leave' - Napoli Forward's Agent Eager to Move to Champions League Team This Summer
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's agent, Mamuka Jugeli, has confirmed that the Georgian winger is keen to leave Napoli this summer.
Speaking to Georgian media outlet Sport Imedi, Jugeli made it clear that Kvaratskhelia's priority is to join a team competing in the Champions League next season.
Napoli forward keen on summer move
Jugeli was quoted by La Gazzetta dello Sport, saying, "I don’t want people to think that Kvara wants to stay at Napoli. We want to leave, but we are waiting for the end of the Euros so as not to disturb Khvicha. The priority is to join a team that plays in the Champions League."
Kvaratskhelia's father, Badri, echoed the agent's sentiments, expressing his desire for his son to leave Napoli. "I don’t want my son to stay at Napoli. They changed three coaches last season, and it’s hard to play in a similar situation," he added.
Napoli recently appointed Antonio Conte as their new head coach, signing him to a three-year deal. Despite this high-profile hiring, the Kvaratskhelia camp seems unconvinced about the club's direction and stability, fueling their desire to seek opportunities elsewhere.
Kvaratskhelia eager to leave despite contract talks
Kvaratskhelia, who is about to enter his third season at Stadio Maradona, has been linked with major European clubs such as PSG and Barcelona. While Napoli are in talks to extend the winger's contract, an agreement seems far from being reached. This ongoing uncertainty makes a summer transfer increasingly likely.
Just a few months ago, in March, Badri Kvaratskhelia expressed confidence that his son would remain at Napoli beyond the summer. However, the situation has since evolved, and both the player's family and agent are now publicly stating their intent to leave the Italian club for a Champions League team.
