'We are ready for the action' - Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso confident of his team

However, the squad's composition has changed since their impressive showing at the 2023 World Cup in Argentina.

Deprived of key players due to European club commitments, Bosso acknowledges the absence of talents like Victor Eletu, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Benjamin Fredrick, and Sunday Jude. 

Their contributions were instrumental in Nigeria's journey to the quarterfinals of the World Cup last year, where they suffered a narrow defeat to South Korea.

Nevertheless, Bosso maintains a positive outlook, emphasising the team's readiness for the competition. Speaking at a pre-match press conference, he stated, as reported by Allnigeriasoccer, "We have prepared a lot for this competition.

"The players are disciplined and ready for the action." He also highlighted the importance of support from Nigerians residing in Ghana, urging them to rally behind the team.

Daniel Bameyi, a one-cap Nigeria international, expressed his enthusiasm for playing under Bosso again. Noting the significant Nigerian presence in Ghana, Bameyi stressed the fans' crucial role in the upcoming game.
