Vitality Nations Cup: She Cranes assistant coach Peace Proscovia confident team can beat the world's finest nations

Uganda will battle with three of the best netballing Nations in the world at the prestigious Vitality Netball Nations Cup, slated to kickstart on Saturday.

The She Cranes will tussle it out with England, New Zealand and Australia, who rank third, second and first globally.

However, newly appointed assistant coach Peace Proscovia is optimistic the She Cranes, who rank seventh in the world, can upset the giants.

"I think this team has everything within them to win these games," Proscovia said in the lead to the games.

"They are a very determined team, focused, and they are highly motivated and, most importantly, excited to play the games.

"And I must say we're so lucky to have these games, and we thank management for coming to these series," she added.

Proscovia further underlined the importance and benefits of participating in the Nations Cup with the global heavyweights.

"Well, there's a lot to gain; this is a young group of Ugandan players. They will gain experience; the exposure is very important for the future of netball in Uganda."

"So, I think the experience matters the most, and I'm excited to see what they'll put on ground."

The She Cranes enter the games off the back of a 2-1 triumph over Wales in the Test Series held last week at the House of Sports in Cardiff.
