Victor Osimhen: Super Eagles star turns to MMA after Finidi George explosion
There is news about Super Eagles of Nigeria star Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is trending on social media following a viral video.
Osimhen and Finidi George
Osimhen retaliated to remarks purportedly made by former Super Eagles head coach George Finidi, who questioned Osimhen's dedication to his national team assignment.
Due to injury worries, the star player for Napoli was unable to play for Nigeria in their 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Finidi, who has since quit from the position, was reported to have questioned Osimhen's dedication to the squad after the Super Eagles' dismal performance in the games—one draw and a loss—and stated he won't ask players to play for the team.
Osimhen, offended by the comment, responded to the former international in a live Instagram post on his account.
He insisted that he had always given the Super Eagles his all and had told Finidi about his injury before to the most recent round of play.
Osimhen and AKO show
Following the explosion, Osimhen was a guest in the biggest African Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competition, The AKO Show!
Last night, the Napoli striker traveled to Abuja, Nigeria to witness an MMA battle that was broadcast live from the Abuja Continental Hotel.
He flaunted his attendance at the fights on social media.
Rumor has it that Osimhen will now likely be involved in a transfer from Napoli.
