Twanisha Terry Shares How Visit to Melissa Jefferson-Wooden’s Hometown Has Boosted Her Side Hustle
US sprinters Twanisha ‘Tee Tee’ Terry and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden know each other very well as they train together and compete against each other but their partnership is also paying off in business.
Jefferson-Wooden got the better of Terry at the 2025 World Championships as she won the 100m and 200m gold before the two joined Kayla While and Sha’Carri Richardson to deliver the 4x100m relay title to Team USA.
Terry had initially missed the final of the 100m after exiting at the semis but she has admitted her outing in Tokyo has boosted her business.

She has also become an author and published a new children’s book titled TeeTee’s World Adventure in April, using her free time to promote it.
Having returned from Tokyo, Terry has seen orders for her book increase significantly and she has also become a highly sought-after speaker and during her recent visit to South Carolina to support Jefferson-Wooden’s initiative, she was taken aback by the interest she received.
“I came to South Carolina to support Melissa’s track clinic and got blessed with a book reading at an Elementary school out here,” Terry posted in X.
This follows a number of guest appearances at various schools not just to promote her book but also act as an inspiration to young girls.

“Third stop of TeeTee’s World Adventure reading journey: Ten Oaks Elementary,” she posted.
“I’m truly honored to have been the very first guest speaker at Ten Oaks Elementary! I went in expecting to read to just one class, but to my surprise, I had the chance to read to all of the first and second grade students. And y’all know TeeTee loves the kids so it was no pressure for your girl!
“The little ones were locked in, asked such thoughtful questions, and I made it a point to leave an impact—sending each student off with either a high five or a hug.”
Tee Tee’s book was co-authored with Dennis Vanasse and it covers the story of her Olympic journey, aiming to encourage young readers to seek out “teamwork, resilience, and the joy of adventure.”
