Tobi Amusan shines in Diamond League Record-breaking race dominated by Olympic champion Masai Russell
World Record holder Tobi Amusan finished as one of the brilliant performers in Silesia, as Olympic champion Masai Russell stormed to a new women's 100m Hurdles Diamond League Record.
In a highly contested race that can be classified as one of the fastest in women's 100mH history, the Top 5 finishers all ran under the 12.35s mark, with three of the other top five finishers clocking new Personal Bests (PB).
Russell outclassed the field, storming to a new Diamond League Record (DLR) of 12.19s, just .02s off her world-leading and American record of 12.17s set earlier in the season at the Grand Slam Track in Miami.
Tonea Marshall, who finished fifth at the US Championships, ran a brilliant PB of 12.24s for second, just edging Amusan to third in 12.25s. Reigning world champion Danielle Williams also ran a PB of 12.31s to finish fourth, ahead of Alia Armstrong in fifth in a PB of 12.32s.

Despite Russell taking the spotlight with her win and record, Amusan's performance was well applauded as she came from behind and closed off with an astonishing top-end speed in the last 50m to secure her third position.
It was also her second time running the 12.2 seconds this season, having clocked 12.24s at the Paris Diamond League.
Her run gave prospects on what she can achieve when she perfects a well-executed race from the start - a possibility that puts her in her 2022 world record form.
With the World Championships in Tokyo on the horizon, Amusan has surely regained her confidence, and she's back in the conversation of potential medallists.
