Thomas Partey Gets Temporary Relief on Rape Charges, Free to Join Villarreal
Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing in court on Tuesday to face rape and sexual assault charges.
The 32-year-old faces five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, relating to three different women. The alleged offenses reportedly occurred between 2021 and 2022. Partey denies all charges.
The brief hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court saw Partey confirm his understanding of the charges and bail conditions, but he was not required to enter a plea. The case has been transferred to the Old Bailey for trial, with his next court appearance scheduled for September 2.
