‘The fans will see a new Samu this year’ - Chukwueze promises redemption next season
The Super Eagles star had a decent performance for AC Milan in their 3-2 win over Manchester City during their preseason game.
Last season, Chukwueze joined Milan from Villarreal but found it difficult to adjust in his first season.
The winger contributed to just six goals in thirty-three games in all competitions and had limited playing time in the team.
Chukwueze vows to hit big
Paulo Fonseca, AC Milan manager, has shown faith in the Nigerian international by starting him in the first two preseason games for the squad.
Chukwueze made a big impact for AC Milan in their preseason clash with Man City, recording two assists in the game.
The Super Eagles winger was excellent with the ball during the friendly match before being replaced by Álex Jiménez twenty minutes into the second half.
After the game, Chukwueze promised a new personality in his game for AC Milan next season as he looks forward to more playing time.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin, via Tuttomercatoweb after the game, Chukwueze said, "I like the new coach, he gave me an opportunity straight away, it's important when someone gives you confidence. The fans will see a new Samu this year."
Chukwueze and his colleagues will play friendlies against Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Monza before their Serie A debut against Torino on August 17.
