Daughter of 5-cap ex-Super Eagles star joins Chukwueze in Milan on permanent move
AC Milan have secured the permanent services of Swedish sensation Evelyn Ijeh, the daughter of former Nigerian international Peter Ijeh, on a long-term contract until 2027.
Ijeh, who is still eligible to represent the Nigerian Super Falcons, impressed last term and the Rossonere have wasted no time in making her a permanent fixture at the San Siro.
Super Falcons-eligible star joins Milan
The 22-year-old forward initially joined the Italian giants on loan in January, but her impressive performances, which saw her make 15 appearances and score 4 goals, have convinced the club to snap her up on a permanent basis.
Ijeh's move to AC Milan also reunites her with fellow Nigerian star Samuel Chukwueze, who also joined the Rossoneri faithful last season from Spain.
The Swedish sensation, whose father Peter Ijeh earned five caps for the Super Eagles, will no doubt be aiming to make her mark on the Italian top flight, with the Rossonere faithful eagerly anticipating her next move.
Milan have been quick to express their delight at securing Ijeh's signature, with the club's hierarchy confident that the young striker will continue to thrive in the famous red and black colours.
As Ijeh embarks on this new chapter of her career, the eyes of the Nigerian football community will be firmly fixed on her progress, eager to see if she can follow in her father's footsteps and make a name for herself on the international stage.
This latest acquisition by Milan is sure to have the rest of Serie A on high alert, as the Rossonere look to mount a serious challenge for the Scudetto in the coming seasons.
