Super Eagles: No free ticket as fans to pay for Nigeria vs Rwanda World Cup qualifier

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to take on the Amavubi of Rwanda in a matchday seven group game of the ongoing 2025 FIFA Cup Qualifiers.

Ahead of this round of qualifiers, South Africa are on top with 10 points, Benin Republic with 7 points and Zimbabwe at the bottom with four points.

Nigeria sits in fourth place in Group C with 6 points from four games, while Rwanda holds second place with 8 points.

The Nigeria football federation have announced that the Godswill Akpabio Stadium will not be thrown open.

To see the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying encounter between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Amavubi of Rwanda fans will have to pay either N3,000 and N1,000, respectively.

Popular seats will sell for N1,000 throughout the city of Uyo while VIP section tickets will cost N3,000.

The Amavubi team have arrived at Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo on Tuesday, ahead of Saturday's game.

The group was headed by Fabrice Shema Agoga, the recently elected president of the Federation Rwandaise de Football Association (FERWAFA).

A staff from the local organizing committee welcomed the contingent and they are lodged at the Ibom Hotel in Uyo and hit the gym before training.

Rwanda last played a 1-1 draw with Lesotho while Nigeria were also held to a 1-1 draw against Zimababwe.

The game between Nigeria and Rwanda will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025.
