Sevilla boss to keep Man United loanee on the bench until further notice

Sevilla's head coach, Quique Sanchez Flores, has been candid about Manchester United's young talent, Hannibal Mejri, and his challenging start at the Spanish club.

The United prodigy, who joined Sevilla on loan amid high expectations, has found himself in a tough adjustment period, according to Sanchez Flores.

Sanchez Flores expressed concerns about Hannibal's integration into the team, noting the need for the youngster to acclimate to the new environment.

“After being with him, talking to him and having seen his first minutes in Girona, we are going to give him the necessary space to understand where he is, that he is at Sevilla and what it means," the coach stated. 

He emphasized the importance of understanding the club's demands and ethos, a realization he believes Hannibal might grasp better from a distance.

Despite his potential and impressive moments at Manchester United, Hannibal has struggled to find consistency at Sevilla. 

Sanchez Flores's decision to exclude him from upcoming matches highlights the challenge ahead for the Tunisian international. 

This period will be crucial for Hannibal, not only to potentially secure a permanent move to Sevilla but also to prove his worth for a future at Manchester United, where his contract runs until 2025.
