The prestigious Goal of the Year category nominees have been announced by CAF, and supporters will have the opportunity to vote on the winner.

Eleven goals scored in CAF tournaments between January and October 2024 make up the shortlist.

The list was compiled by the CAF Technical Panel and involves quality goals from several players around the continent.

Nominees include Abdul Aziz Issah, Aboubakary Koita, Denis Omedi, Ibrahim Adel and Kevin Pina.

Others include Cristovao Mabululu, Nene Dorgeles, Saïd Benrahma, Wessam Abou Ali and Yassine Benzia.

The goals nominated for the award are from the CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Champions League and Confederations Cup.

One of the 11 nominees for CAF Goal of the Year 2024 has caught the interest of football enthusiasts in Nigeria.

Sébastien Haller's winning goal for Côte d’Ivoire in the AFCON final against the Super Eagles of Nigeria also makes the list.

The winner will be revealed on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco, during the glitzy CAF Awards Gala.
