Everton Under-18s forward Ray Robert has signed his first professional contract with the club committing to a three-year deal until June 2028.

At just 17, Robert has already carved out a name for himself in the academy, combining natural talent with hard work and determination. 

Since the time he  joined Everton’s academy at the age of seven, his progress has been steady and impressive, culminating in a historic moment earlier this year when he became the first Everton player to score at Hill Dickinson Stadium during the venue’s maiden test event against Wigan Athletic Under-18s.

Robert’s rise has been notable not only for his achievements but also for his early exposure to higher-level competition. 

He made his Under-18 debut at just 15, a year earlier than many of his peers, and has since become a key figure in the squad. 

So far this season, he has recorded two goals and two assists in five league games, showcasing the combination of pace, skill, and intelligence that has attracted attention from coaches and fans alike.

His technical ability is matched by his mental approach to the game. Robert credits much of his development to competing alongside older players, noting that facing bigger and stronger opponents has forced him to think quicker and improve his decision-making.

Over the past two seasons, Robert has already made an impact, scoring five goals in 22 league appearances for the Under-18s and delivering standout performances such as a brace in a 2-1 win over Wolves.

Looking ahead, Robert’s focus is on growth and consistency. He is eager to continue competing in youth competitions such as the FA Youth Cup while preparing for the challenges of full-time professional football.
