PSG's Nasser Al-Khelaifi denies involvement in Man United takeover
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied being involved in the takeover attempt of Manchester United.
The Red Devils are famously on the market, with Qatar's Sheikh Jassim and Britain's richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as two front-runners to buy the club or at least a major stake in it.
Nasser was reportedly met by the Glazers to convince his countryman to increase his bid to buy the club, a claim the European Club Association (ECA) president has come out to deny.
What Al-Khelaifi said
The PSG top brass was speaking in an interview with the BBC when he was asked about the nature of his involvement in the takeover process of Manchester United.
He replied, saying Paris Saint-Germain is his club, suggesting he had no intentions of being in the affairs of another.
He did not explicitly deny holding conversations on it, as he said he talks about any club and not just the Red Devils and will extend his expertise to whoever needs it.
However, he refutes claims suggesting he was part of a wider Qatari state-backed attempt to own the English club.
"Paris St-Germain is my club in my heart, and I have nothing to do with Manchester United," he said.
"It makes me laugh. I am Qatari, right? If people ask me my opinion, I will answer them for sure, and that's what they do.
"I am talking about anyone, not just Manchester United. I will give them the experience that I have. That's it."
