American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke, who is professionally known as Davido, is back among the trends.

On March 31, 2023, Davido finally released his eagerly awaited fourth studio album, 'Timeless,' and is currently on tour.

Davido is in the United States for the tour of his album and has made history doing so.

While in the United States, Davido performed at the Toyota Center in the early hours of Saturday, July, 8, 2023.

The Toyota Center where Davido performed is home to NBA franchise the Houston Rockets.

Davido took to social media to show off a Houston Rockets jersey he received after performing at the arena.

The Houston Rockets are led by former Nigerian basketball star Ime Udoka, who was recently appointed the new Head Coach.

The amazing Afrobeats musician enchanted the crowd at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, as he currently has fans spellbound on his tour in support of his most recent album.

The stage where the singer performed was a replica of the well-known Eko Bridge in Lagos, Nigeria. 

The city of Houston has declared July 7th to be "Davido's Day" in honor of his incredible achievements in the music business following his unforgettable and sold-out performance.

Davido received this information from the mayor of Houston in person, who also thanked him for his important contributions to the music industry.

The announcement was made just prior to the start of the Afrobeat superstar's performance at Houston's Toyota Arena.

Davido’s honor comes after he teamed up with Barcelona star Ansu Fati at the Afro Nation festival in Portugal.
