Napoli take first step in keeping Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen partnership with new contract
Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's partnerships powered Napoli to their first Scudetto title in 33 years; however, the duo risk being broken up with clubs circling around both talents.
Napoli have now taken a major step in keeping one of their prized gems, as they are reported to have reached an agreement on a contract renewal with the 22-year-old Georgian.
Kvaratskhelia set to renew
According to GetfootballNewsItaly, I Partenopei president Aurelien de Laurentiis has reached an agreement with the Serie A player of the season on a contract renewal.
The former Dinamo Batumi winger only recently joined the Naples side in the summer and has a contract that expires in 2027.
However, his exceptional season has put him on the radar of a number of clubs, leading the champions to move to protect their asset.
He is said to be set to sign a one-year extension on his current deal, which would almost double his current wages to €2.5 million.
After securing a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season, Newcastle United are prepared to fight in the summer transfer market for the top players in Europe.
