Mourinho rejects Saudi's Al-Ahli
AS Roma boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly turned down the chance to become manager of Saudi Professional League side Al-Ahli.
The former Chelsea boss has been in the news over his next destination as he is yet to extend his current deal, which expires in 2024. Also, he has publicly expressed his displeasure with the Roma hierarchy.
He was previously linked with the PSG job, and now he has been approached by the Saudis; however, he is said to have rejected their offer.
Mourinho says no to Al-Ahli
According to Sky Italia, the Portuguese held a meeting in London today with the president of Al-Ahli Waleed Muath.
The report reveals details of the meeting, and it claims the former Real Madrid boss politely turned down the chance to move to the Gulf, as he wanted to continue his work at AS Roma.
Mourinho has, however, not been approached by the Gillarossi to discuss a renewal, despite the manager's desire for one. This could mean no stoppage of suitors for the two-time Champions League winner.
Meanwhile, Algerian midfielder Houssem Aouar has signed for AS Roma on a free transfer after leaving Ligue 1 side Lyon.
