Kenya Police FC new signing Muhamed Bajaber made an instant impact on his debut scoring in the club’s 2-0 victory over Bidco United in an FKF Premier League clash at Machakos Stadium on Saturday.

Bajaber, who recently joined the league leaders from Nairobi City Stars during the January transfer window, was handed his first start by head coach Etienne Ndayiragije, and he did not disappoint.

His goal in the 68th minute broke the deadlock after a goalless first half, setting the Law Enforcers on course for another crucial victory.

The goal came from a well-worked passage of play, starting with substitute Alvin Mangeni whipping in a precise cross from the right.

David Irishura brought the ball down beautifully on his chest before exchanging a quick give-and-go with Daniel Kakai.

The sequence set up Bajaber, who, with his back to goal, took a touch before unleashing a powerful half-turn shot past Bidco United goalkeeper Malvin Nderitu.

Just four minutes later, Police doubled their lead through a spectacular goal from David Simiyu.

Job Ochieng’s delivery nearly found Bajaber in the middle of the box, but the ball skipped past him and landed at Simiyu’s feet.

With Bajaber making a dummy run to draw defenders away, Simiyu took matters into his own hands, cutting inside from the left before curling a stunning shot into the top right corner.

The victory solidified Police’s position at the top of the FKF Premier League table, pushing them to 41 points—three ahead of second-placed Tusker (38 points) and seven clear of third-placed Gor Mahia (34 points).

Tusker and Gor Mahia will clash on Sunday at Machakos Stadium in a crucial encounter that could determine which side remains in the title race.

For Police, Bajaber’s arrival adds firepower to an already impressive squad as they aim to dethrone Gor Mahia and claim the league title under Burundian tactician Ndayiragije.
