Memphis Depay: DJ Cuppy celebrates Atletico Madrid star in Ghana

Memphis Depay, a Dutch celebrity of Ghanaian heritage, is once again a social media trend.

After a challenging La Liga season for Atletico Madrid, attacker Memphis Depay is back in Ghana for the summer.

Along with top player and star of Paris Saint-Germain Georginio Wijnaldum, the Dutch-born player arrived in Ghana.

Depay participated in a variety of projects  in Ghana, including visiting the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and helping to renovate an Accra boxing club.

Depay has decided to tell his followers about his summertime exploits in Ghana.

While in Ghana, Depay teamed up with Nigerian disc jockey and producer Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, professionally known as DJ Cuppy.

Cuppy took to her official social media platform to post a picture of the link up with Depay.

Along with the photo was a message that said, "VIP Ghananian mosquitos are getting ready for a lit party tonight LOL 😭 

"On a serious note, I have a lot of love for diaspora like Memphis who take the time to return and visit to learn about their African heritage and ancestry… It's a superpower to be connect with your roots."

Depay's team up with Cuppy comes after he rose to the top of the trends on social media for a diamond necklace.

Fans spotted the necklace worn by Depay while coasting on the speed boat.

The necklace has a diamond pendant of his iconic celebration, with his hands in his ears to shut out the noise.

Football fans received the latest piece of jewelry by Depay well, with many positive reviews.

Depay will now be expected to return to Europe from Ghana for Atletico Madrid's preseason campaign.
