Manchester United Open Talks for Brentford Goalscorer

Manchester United are set to begin talks with Brentford over the signing of Bryan Mbeumo.

The 25-year-old Cameroon international is reportedly keen on a move to Old Trafford, despite interest from Arsenal, Newcastle, and Tottenham.

According the Athletic United manager Ruben Amorim believes Mbeumo would be a perfect fit for his system.

The United boss is looking to bolster his attacking options, with Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho potentially departing.

Mbeumo is entering the final year of his contract with Brentford, though the club holds an option to extend it for a further 12 months.

The pacey forward enjoyed an impressive season, netting 20 Premier League goals joint fourth on the English Premier League scoring charts.

Brentford are expected to demand a fee in the region of £60 million.

Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta is also on Manchester United's radar, but they face competition from AC Milan and Juventus for his signature.

The Red Devils are amping up their summer business having already secured the services of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha.
