Man United secured a hard-fought 2-1 win at Anfield, their first league victory at the venue since 2016. 

They finally broke the jinx of not winning back-to-back games in the Premier League for almost a year.

The result has sparked renewed optimism among the club's celebrity supporters, who feel that they are getting back to their best.

Popular Nigerian musician Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, aka Jeoboy, has made a bold prediction after Liverpool’s win.

Taking to his official X account, the Afropop star shared his thoughts with a concise post: "Lowkey, Man U will challenge for the title."

Under new manager Ruben Amorim, Manchester United delivered an impressive performance to claim all three points. 

The Red Devils got off to a flying start when Bryan Mbeumo scored in the opening minute. Although Cody Gakpo later equalised for Liverpool, Harry Maguire sealed the victory with a powerful header in the 84th minute.

The win lifted them to ninth in the table with 13 points and are now sit six points behind league leaders Arsenal and three behind second-placed Manchester City.

The defeat was Liverpool's fourth straight loss across all competitions, intensifying the pressure on their manager, Arne Slot, to reverse the team's poor run of form.

Manchester United will aim to continue their positive momentum when they host Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Saturday.
