Iheanacho was released by Leicester City at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season where he helped the Foxes regain Premier League status with five goals and one assist in 23 EFL Championship matches.
Vardy wins new Leicester City deal
In contrast to Iheanacho, Foxes legend Jamie Vardy has been rewarded for another important season with a two-year contract that will see him play in the Premier League with Leicester City again and potentially remain with the Birmingham side until he is 39-years-old.
Despite his advanced age, Vardy was still important for Leicester City in their promotion battle, scoring 18 times in 35 Championship games to help the Foxes back into the Premier League.
Vardy is a veritable Leicester City legend after helping them clinch an unprecedented Premier League title in 2016 and scoring 190 goals in 464 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions.
