“Benin Is a Wrap, Self-sponsored. No federation support. Still brought medals home for my beautiful country, Kenya 🇰🇪🥇🥈. This is more than a win; it’s proof that resilience, belief, and hard work can carry a dream beyond limits. Grateful to everyone who stood with me, and thank you all for the love ❤️ This is just the beginning… Cairo Is Next,” he shared in a post on his Instagram page.

His victories sparked widespread praise across social media in Kenya. However, many also questioned the apparent lack of official support, as videos circulated showing Kiarie celebrating alone on the podium, draped in the Kenyan flag but with no government officials present.

Having returned home, Kelvin Kiarie hopes his success will draw much-needed attention and support from stakeholders to the rapidly growing sport of skating among Kenya's youth.
