Kamaru Usman is too old - Khamzat Chimaev roars ahead of UFC 294
UFC 294 featured two amazing last-minute matchups for its first media day before the action this weekend.
In the co-main event, Kamaru Usman with only 11 days' notice will face Khamzat Chimaev, the biggest bad guy in the sport right now in a middleweight eliminator.
Usman accepted this fight so quickly despite his suffering from numerous injuries throughout his career and most recently losing the Welterweight title to Leon Edwards.
Chimaev Brand Kamaru Usman old
Even if Usman loses the fight, he should still be commended for accepting the fight on such short notice.
If he prevails over the most formidable fighter in the UFC at the moment, though, he will earn a title shot at Sean Strickland who defeated Israel Adesanya.
At the press conference, Chimaev said, "If you are the best how come you have lost two or three times? You are a good fighter but you are not at my level.
"You can't teach me anything you are too old for that. Be a coach in a gym, it is better for you, healthier for you."
Usman is an under dog against Chimaev in the clash based on betting sites.
Usman dispelled rumors that he was battling an injury as he came face to face with Chimaev.
This comes after Chimaev has used an analogy between iPhone software versions in order to describe himself as a newer version of Usman, ahead of his UFC 294 this weekend in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
