Inter Miami continue Barcelona Old Boys reunion with Jordi Alba's unveiling, presentation

MLS club Inter Miami have officially confirmed the signing of another Barcelona old boy following the unveiling of Jordi Alba. 

The club announced the capture of the former Barcelona full-back last month as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria.

Inter Miami announced Alba with a statement published on social media platform X.

Weeks after his transfer was announced, Alba was officially presented to the Inter Miami fans before the game against Orlando City in the Leagues Cup on Thursday morning. 

The defender becomes the latest ex-Barcelona superstar to join David Beckham’s revolution at Inter. 

He has been reunited with former teammates in Catalan, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets. 

Alba, who is known as one of the best fullbacks in the world, has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the option of a further year. 

It was a winning start to his adventure at Inter Miami after he made his debut against Orlando City. 

Following his debut, Alba was on the Inter Miami bench but came on in the second half for his debut.

The 34-year-old came on for Noah Allen in the 64th minute, with the home side already leading 2-1 thanks to goals from his former Barcelona pal Lionel Messi and Josef Martinez.

Messi went on to net the winner eight minutes after Alba came on to wrap up a memorable debut for the Spanish defender as Inter thrashed Orlando City 3-1.
