Charlton Athletic manager Nathan Jones has delivered a positive update on the Harambee Stars defender’s recovery, signalling his return to fitness after missing several matches.

Key Players Return from Injury

The manager confirmed that Conor Coady, Collins Sichenje, and goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski are all fit for the trip to Hillsborough.

"Conor's had to go through the protocols, and he did that," Jones explained. "He’s had non-contact training all the way up to today, and then he was able to train fully. He’s back in contention."

The return of Sichenje and Reece Burke also bolsters the squad. "Collins and Burkey are both available, so that’s good for our competition," he noted. "Again, Thomas has trained fully, so we’re able to call on him as well."

At the same time, Nathan Jones also urged his squad to show greater sharpness and efficiency in front of goal as they look to secure a strong result in the fixture.

Despite his team creating numerous opportunities in recent matches, Nathan Jones expressed frustration over their failure to convert them into wins. He emphasised that the focus must be on their own performance, not on their opponents' struggles.

"Sheffield Wednesday have had a tough season, obviously with the points deduction, but we can’t affect any of that," Jones stated.

"I’m more concerned with us doing what we do best. We’ve had opportunities to win games lately and we haven’t, we’ve let ourselves down on one or two little things."

He added, "We have to work so hard to get chances and goals. We’ve created enough chances in recent weeks, and I just want us to be a bit more clinical. That’s all we can affect."

Nathan Jones Praises Travelling Supporters

The Addicks will be cheered on by nearly 2,000 travelling fans in Sheffield, a fact not lost on the manager, who praised their unwavering support both at home and on the road.

“To be fair to them, they’ve always done their part," said Jones. "If they can continue to be the best that they can be, then we have to put on a performance to reward them. We’ve done that away from home; we’ve been excellent away from home."

However, he acknowledged the team's recent home form has been a source of frustration. "At home, we’ve let ourselves down a bit, albeit we’ve pushed in the last 20 minutes... Teams in the Championship have absolutely had to defend for their life, so it shows that we’re pushing and we’re striving to give them performances. It’s just that we have to turn those into points now."
