The French team decided to respond with jersey gifts and a message in a letter.
Brest message to Micah Richards and Henry jerseys
The message by Brest to Richards and Henry said, “Many thanks for your close attention to Brest’s performance since the start of the Champions League.
“We all enjoy watching you’re many laughs in the studio. So, we’ve made a special shirt for Micah [Richards].
“We couldn’t resist giving a Stade Brestois shirt to our own legend Thierry Henry to whom we send our warming greetings.”
The jersey handed to Richards was with words "Brest lover" continuing the joke of their viral video.
Henry on the other hand had his name and legendary number 14 number on his own.
This is not the first time the team would go viral as Henry once spearheaded the calls about the joke on Victor Osimhen taking a penalty.
A Champions League round of 16 berth is still possible for Brest as they take on reigning champions Real Madrid in their final group game at the Stade du Rodourou on Wednesday, January 29.
