Super Eagles 6-0 Sao Tome: Victor Boniface reacts to debut in AFCON qualifier
The Super Eagles of Nigeria won easily 6-0 against the Parrots of Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in their final AFCON 2023 qualifying match.
Umo Eno, the governor of Akwa Ibom State, gave away tickets for the Super Eagles game at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, drawing a full house in Uyo.

When the Super Eagles and Sao Tome and Principe faced off in Agadir, Morocco, the Super Eagles won 10-0, but they were unable to duplicate that performance in Uyo.
The Super Eagles defeated the Parrots 6-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Napoli player Victor Osimhen.
The other goal scorers were Ademola Lookman of Atlanta, Taiwo Awoniyi of Nottingham Forest, and Samuel Chukwueze of AC Milan.
Victor Boniface reacts to Super Eagles debut
Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface made his first appearance for the Super Eagles of Nigeria against Sao Tome and Principe.
Boniface who is highly rated at the German club came off the bench in place of Taiwo Awoniyi in the 64th minute to make his international debut for Nigeria.
It was a monster 26 minutes of Boniface playing up front with Napoli man Victor Osimhen who scored a hat trick.
Boniface in the limited time provided the assist for Chukwueze to score the sixth of the game.
After the game, Boniface took to his official social media platforms to celebrate his Super Eagles debut.
He posted photos from the game along with a message that said, "Proud moment."
It was a good showing for Boniface on his debut bringing in his good form of five goals and two assists since he joined Leverkusen.
Boniface returns to action with Leverkusen when they take on reigning champions Bayern Munich on Friday, September 15, 2023.
