Beyond Limits star Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi named TCC Player of the Week

Beyond Limits are back in business in The Creative Championship, TCC, with the talented centre-back Oluwaseyi Ogunniyi at the heart of their revival. 

Ogunniyi put on a show as Beyond Limits came from behind to force Real Sapphire to a share of the spoils after a thrilling 2-2 draw on matchday 4. 

Free-scoring Sapphire gave the champions a massive scare when they took an early lead before Ogunniyi pulled one back to make it 2-1 at the break. 

Isaac Chukwueze’s late equaliser ensured the No Limits boys earned a point at home but it was Ogunniyi who stole the day with his all-round performance that saw him rewarded with the Player of the Week award.

In the 84 minutes he spent on the pitch, the under-17 defensive star helped his side dominate on the ball after he completed 69 passes at 87% accuracy. He also completed four crosses, two dribbles, and won a remarkable 10 duels.

Ogunniyi’s performance was enough to earn him the Player of the Week accolade and put him in the company of a superstar like Christopher Jeremiah, who was the star of the show in the TCC for matchday three. 

Jeremiah’s brilliant display inspired Broad City to a third successive win which put them then at the top of the TCC standings.
