“Beyond record-setting payout times, Cash App is offering a $250,000 world-record bonus to any athlete who breaks a world record at Athlos NYC.”
With its rivals Grand Slam Track struggling to settle payments for its athletes, having paid just half on Friday following months of empty promises, ATHLOS used the opportunity to aim a thinly-veiled dig at them.
“Faster payouts mean real-time recognition and an athlete-first experience, raising the bar for the sport,” added ATHLOS.
“Eligibility & terms apply. Instant payments available for eligible, verified Cash App accounts; otherwise paid by wire. All awards subject to anti-doping compliance and record ratification where applicable. World-record bonus applies to seven designated Athlos NYC events; see official terms for details.”
Other big names set to grace this year’s ATHLOS edition include Africa’s fastest woman Marie-Josee Ta Lou-Smith, Brittany Brown, Olympics champions Masai Russell and Marileidy Paulino as well as Salwa Eid Naser.
