Thomas, who competed in the inaugural Athlos meet last year, will now be joined by Richardson and Davis-Woodhall in helping shape the league’s future.

While it remains unclear whether Richardson will compete in this year’s meet, a spokesperson for Athlos said her involvement at this stage is focused on ownership and the long-term growth of the sport.

“She’s obviously excited about Athlos’ impact, and she will be a part of this journey in many ways,” the spokesperson told Citius Mag.

Athlos’ shift to a team-based model represents a significant evolution in professional track and field.

The new format, described as “designed for and by athletes, tailored to a modern fanbase,” will feature multiple meets across various cities.

The league will culminate in a championship event following the conclusion of the traditional World Athletics season, creating a complementary structure that supports athletes' global competitive goals.

The 2026 season will officially wrap with the World Athletics Ultimate Championships, scheduled for September 11–13 in Budapest.

The involvement of Richardson, Thomas, and Davis-Woodhall marks a powerful endorsement of Athlos’ mission to reshape the sport.

Each brings star power, experience, and a commitment to empowering women athletes.

Their roles as advisor-owners go beyond mere ambassadorship as they will help steer the league’s development, athlete experience, and fan engagement strategy.

While fans eagerly await confirmation of whether Richardson will hit the track in the 2025 Athlos meet, her commitment to ownership signals a deeper investment in the future of women’s track and field.
