Ashleigh Plumptre: Married man and wife thank Super Falcons star for jersey

Ashleigh Plumptre, an outstanding defensive player for the Super Falcons of Nigeria, is making a comeback on social media.

Following her most recent performance for the senior women's national team of Nigeria, the 25-year-old has become popular.

The Super Falcons defeated their Cameroonian opponents 1-0 on aggregate in the second leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja to proceed to the fourth round of the Caf Women's Olympic qualification for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Nigeria's Super Falcons progressed over a 10-woman Cameroon team because of an incredible goal from forward Esther Okonkwo.

Plumptre became the most popular trend after the game due to her activities.

In the stands, Plumptre saw a poster that said, "Ashleigh, please, your jersey for my wife."

The married man has now thanked Plumotre for the gesture.

After noticing the cardboard, she gave her jersey to the married man.

On social media, the photo taken by Oganla Media went viral.

He posted a photo with a message that said, "Thanks ashleigh plumptre, wifey was so glad."

Plumptre will now make her way back to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia before returning to the national team for the next upcoming Olympic Qualification event.

Nigeria will play South Africa's Banyana Banyana, the current African champions.
