Aldrine Kibet: Kenyan Sensation Scores Five in One Match to Help Celta Vigo U19 Earn Promotion

Harambee Stars youngster Aldrine Kibet made yet another massive statement about his immense talents when he scored a rare five goals in one match for his Spanish club.

To make it even astonishing, Kibet scored four goals inside 30 minutes, as Celta Vigo U19 thrashed Solares 13-0 on Sunday to win the División de Honor Juvenil (Spain’s U19 league) and secure promotion to the third tier of Spanish football.

Kibet was impressive as he led the charge for Celta Vigo, opening the scoring early on before adding his second in the 19th minute and then two more in a space of three minutes in the 36th and 39th minutes as his side took a commanding 10-0 lead at the break.

Upon resumption, Celta Vigo eased off but not Kibet, who scored the third of their three second-half goals in the 87th minute to complete the rout. The Kenyan was clearly Man of the Match with only Jorge Pérez-Lafuente coming closest with four goals of his own on the day.

“Another SUPER afternoon for Kibet. 4 GOALS in only 30 minutes. KENYAN PRIDE,” Celta Vigo described the Kenyan via a social media post.

The club also expressed excitement at finishing top of the 16-team standings, having accumulated an unassailable 72 points from 28 games, seven more than second-placed Deportivo La Coruna, with two games remaining.

How Many Goals Has Kibet Scored So Far?

Impressively, Celta Vigo have scored 108 goals this season to give them a goal difference of +84 and are now waiting to be crowned at the end of the season before they look forward to La LigaB action in 2026-27.

Kibet, whose career best at the club had been four goals in a 6-1 win over CD Roces in March, has had an impressive debut season for Celta Vigo U19 as he has so far scored 19 goals for the club.
