Kibet, who has been enjoying a good season, bounced back from his team’s Copa Del Rey semi-final heartbreak in midweek in the most impressive of fashions.

The Kenyan sensation scored three goals inside 30 minutes as Celta Vigo cruised 6-1 over CD Roces in the Spanish lower division.

He added a fourth one in the second half as his team ran riot to put behind their cup heartbreak. It was the fifth goal for Kibet in one week as continues to impress this term.

The former St Anthony’s Boys Kitale star had been the architect of Celta’ good cup run when he scored and assisted to get them into the semi-s but they were bundled out on Thursday.

Kibet Missed Out on Harambee Stars Call-Up

He has also scored two goals in four minutes when Celta U19 thrashed SD Compostela 3-0 early last month, having also scored in his team’s 4-3 victory over Atletico Madrid and book a place in the quarter-final of the cup late in January.

The 19-year-old has been enjoying a great run in front of goal and looks to have settled in at Celta following his historic transfer from Tarragona-based Nastic Academy last July.

His scoring prowess, however, did not earn him a place in the Harambee Stars squad for the upcoming FIFA Series with coach Benni McCarthy overlooking him for the matches against Estonia, Grenada and Rwanda in Kigali later this month.

McCarthy had handed Kibet his maiden senior team call-up last November, ahead of friendly matches against Equatorial Guinea and Senegal.
