The shot-stopper has not featured for the 12-time FKF Premier League champions after an unforgettable blander against Talanta in January.

The school boy error provoked coach Fred Ambani to withdraw the custodian in the second half and has been reduced to a bench role since then.

This prompted irate fans to hurl insults to the goalkeeper but Katasi has said he is ready to return and earn his place according to Mozzart sports.

"I am working hard behind the scenes to get back to my best. I am confident that I will play and make everyone at the club proud," he said.

Katasi admitted to letting Leopards down, revealing how it was tough to bare the brunt of criticism.

"Leopards fans did not deserve the kind of performance we put in that day. We let them down. They were right to react in the manner in which they did.

"It was not easy for me after the game, as insults and threats were directed my way. Luckily, I am not on social media. I had to ask my friends not to share the insults and threats from social media users on my WhatsApp."

AFC Leopards are seventh in the league with 37 points from 26 matches with eight matches left to end the season.
