Super Falcons of Nigeria star Asisat Oshoala is back in the United States of America (USA).

Oshoala returned after helping the Super Falcons defeat the Banyana Banyana of South Africa to a 2024 Olympic ticket.

Oshoala celebrates Bay FC win

On her return, Oshoala featured for Bay FC in an important NWSL clash agaist Seattle Reign.

On Sunday night, Bay FC defeated the Seattle Reign 3-2 at home to record the expansion team's first-ever NWSL home victory.

Joelle Anderson caused an own goal for the game's opening goal in the 87th minute.

In front of about 17,000 fans at PayPal Park in San Jose, Bethany Balcer tied the score for the Reign in the 83rd minute before Anderson's goal.

Lily Woodham's pass deflected off two Bay FC players and found its way into the net, giving the Reign a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute.

After a recycled corner kick play, Kayla Sharples headed in Emily Menges' cross to level the score a few minutes into the second half for Bay FC.

In the 58th minute, Bay FC scored again, making it 2-1 from a corner kick. Alex Loera received the clearance at the top of the 18-yard box, and she fired a shot into the right corner.

The Reign passed a ball behind the opposition to Emeri Adames, with her initial touch, she crossed the ball, and Ji So-yun brought it down to Balcer, who used her left foot to slot it in.

Finally, Montoya made an effort to play some defense and slow down in the 98th minute.

In the final moments, he substituted forward Asisat Oshoala for center-back Jen Beattie.

Oshoala celebrated the win in style on social media with the fans.

On Saturday, April 20, Bay FC takes on the Current in Kansas City at CPKC Stadium, the first stadium ever constructed specifically for a women's soccer team.
