Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield may not have agreed on a number of things about their upcoming wedding but they already have a name for their yet-to-be-born son.

Athletics power couple Noah Lyles and Juelle Bromfield have been talking about their wedding and how many guests they should invite but there are also plans for a family.

Lyles and Bromfield are planning to have their wedding in the spring of 2026 and one year before, they are putting each detail together, having revealed that they will have two empty chairs in honour of their departed loved ones although they still cannot agree on the guest list.

However, one thing that they already have an agreement on is the name of their firstborn son.

“When I take a look into the next 10 years, at least Simba is going to be born,” Lyles said, while Bromfield laughed, when the two had an interview with The Knot.

“That is what I want to name my first son,” the Olympics 100m champion further said.

Bromfield agreed that she has already made peace with that fact.

“I agreed to it a long time ago. When he just told me about it, I was like; ‘that’s a good idea’,” she said. “Then we started dating and I was like; ‘ooh, it is a good idea. I couldn’t go back.”

Lyles reminded his wife-to-be to prepare for the ride as there is no backing out.

“You stuck with me buddy, it’s you and me all the way. Hey, we are in this together,” said Lyles.

Lyles and Bromfield have spoken of their intention to start a family and also keep dogs and it seems they are preparing early for everything even though the inspiration behind the name Simba has not been revealed.

They got engaged in October 2024 with Lyles immediately buying a new house in another show of his love and commitment to his Jamaican fiancee.
