Shikoli featured for the Deejays and is also a full-fledged Kenyan international.

Kenyan lock Collins Shikoli has joined US-based side Rhinos Rugby Academy, joining fellow compatriots Jeff Mutuku and Alvin Marube at the club in an effort to help launch his professional rugby career.

Writing on his Twitter page, Shikholi revealed how proud he was to join the team, clearly revealing he was looking forward to “learning from the best” on Monday.

The former Homeboyz ace joined the team about a month ago and has already featured for the side in the Premier Rugby Sevens.

Shikoli made his debut for Shujaa in 2022 when he was called up by then-coach Innocent Namcos Simiyu for the Sinapore and Vancouver sevens.

During his tenure with Homeboyz RFC he has played numerous matches for the side and it was during that period when Homeboyz RFC rose to two Kenya Cup semi-final appearances, won the Enterprise Cup, and won two National Sevens Circuits in 2022.

He made his international debut in the 2021/22 HSBC London 7s during Innocent Namcos Simiyu’s reign. The speedy winger decided to join the National Police Service, where he took part in rigorous training for nine months, before graduating in January 2023 alongside Jeffrey Oluoch and Levi Amunga.

The 26-year old was working as a policeman in the Rapid Deployment Unit in Utawala, Nairobi before Rhinos came calling.

The Rhinos Rugby Academy was founded in 2014 in Southern California with the vision of providing high-performance rugby training and competition for Under-8 to Under-20 boys and girls in the US.

Over the last few years, the academy has grown to provide athletes a clear and competitive rugby pathway from junior age, to college and professional level, as well as USA rugby national teams.

The academy fosters a training, academics and competitive environment where athletes learn and apply core life values such as respect, honour, discipline, integrity, teamwork and accountability.

It has two training facilities, one in Irvine (servicing Southern California), and one in Sacramento (servicing Northern California) and has custom-designed world-class facilities and coaching staff that implement the academy training programmes.
