Boniface Muchiri Sounds Warning to Morocco and Co as Harambee Stars Set Sights on CHAN Glory

Boniface Muchiri has expressed confidence in Harambee Stars' CHAN preparations, warning rivals like Morocco that Kenya is ready to compete for the title.

Boniface Muchiri has opened up about his preparation for the African Nations Championship and why opponents should be wary of Harambee Stars.

Harambee Stars are in Group A alongside Morocco, DR Congo, Angola and Zambia, and Michira is confident that they are able to silence them and get to the final of the tournament, which will be played at the Moi International Sports Center, Kasarani.

The Ulinzi Stars forward was named in the provisional squad for CHAN, and it is his wish to make the final squad and hopefully make a mark with Harambee Stars once again.

As part of preparations ahead of CHAN, Harambee Stars will feature in the CECAFA Four Nations Cup from July 24 to 27.

Harambee Stars will be up against Tanzania, Uganda and South Sudan in matches to be played at the Karatu Stadium in Tanzania.

Boniface Muchiri revealed that as far as training is concerned, Harambee Stars are in great shape, thanks to the dedication Benni McCarthy has given the players.

He revealed that, from how things look at the moment, Harambee Stars will be unbeatable, insisting that they are ready to show up for the country.

Muchiri added that no one is under the pump to deliver, pointing out that they know they want to leave a legacy behind and are working towards that.

“The training has been good, providing great preparation with a suitable intensity for the upcoming games. We are in a good mood, and the training sessions are good,” Boniface Muchiri told FKF Media.

“Nowadays, there is no underdog when it comes to football; we just have to believe in ourselves. For my teammates, we should demand a lot from ourselves first because we will be representing our country. We want to leave a legacy behind.

“We are not under pressure at all because we shall just play under instructions from the coach, and with the preparations that we are having, I believe we can achieve anything in football matters.”

Boniface Muchiri is confident that under the guidance of Benni McCarthy, Harambee Stars are getting closer to making history with the CHAN tournament fast approaching.
