Super Eagles hopeful Victor Boniface looks to have settled in properly at Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen following a bright start to life at the club.

Nigerian forward Victor Boniface cannot stop scoring for his new club Bayer Leverkusen.

Boniface was on target again as Leverkusen sailed into the next round of the German Cup following an eight-goal thriller.

Bayer thrashed Regionalliga clu side Teutonia Ottensen 8-0 during their DFB Pokal clash on Saturday at the Millerntor Stadion.

The 22-year-old sealed a move to the Bundesliga after leaving Union St Gilloise for Bayer Leverkusen.

As reported by Pulse Sports, Boniface was unveiled as a new Leverkusen star late last month.

“Announce Boniface? Ok then,” Bayer posted on Twitter alongside a video of Boniface sporting the club shirt he received after the Europa League clash last season.

He put pen to paper on a five-year contract that will keep him at the Bay Arena until the summer of 2028.

Boniface off the mark

The Super Eagles hopeful scored his first goal for the new club during a pre-season friendly against English side West Ham United.

He scored one and forced another goal to inspire to club to a comprehensive 4-0 win.

Boniface has now followed that performance with his first competitive goal for Bayer.

The Nigerian netted the second goal of the day as Leverkusen whitewashed their host on Saturday afternoon.

Adam Hlozek stole the show with an impressive second half brace while Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong also helped himself with a goal.

Up next for Boniface and Bayer is their first game of the season as the Bundesliga returns next weekend.

He will be looking to get on the score sheet again when they host RB Leipzig at the BayArena next Saturday.
