Trucha has revealed when January signing Kennedy Owino could make his debut for Ingwe, further adding the qualities that he will add to the team.

AFC Leopards head coach Tomas Trucha has revealed the qualities that Kennedy Owino will add to the club following his move from Posta Rangers last week.

Owino started on the bench against Kariobangi Sharks and played no part in the match as Ingwe won 2-0 to give them their fifth win in six matches.

However, defender Randy Bakari was sent off just before the game ended, leaving Leopards having to see out the game with 10 men.

Trucha has now explained why the towering defender, who has arguably been one of the best defenders in the league this season, failed to feature against Sharks.

“Look, I wanted him to play but he was just with us for a very short time and registration was just in the last moments so now the red card to Randy means that he will be ready for us in the next game (against Murang'a Seal).” Trucha said.

The Czech coach has revealed why he snapped him up from Posta Rangers, listing the qualities that he will bring on board at the Den.

“Experience, leadership, he is the boss, he is very skillful, one of the best defenders in the country,” Trucha said.

Trucha has heaped praise on the management for managing to bring both him and Rwandan import Arthur Gitego into the club.

“I thank the management because they helped to bring me Ken and Arthur (Gitego) plus the other young guys. So this is what I am expecting from him.

“Now you see we have the red card for Randi, so I am happy that we have Kennedy because if he was not here, we would be in trouble, so now I have the options and I can put Kennedy into the (next) game.”
