The second week action of the 2025/2026 SportPesa League will be taking place across various part of the country, while Nairobi United and Kenya Police will be involved in continental action.

Kenyan football fans have been urged to turn out in large numbers this weekend as the SportPesa League and continental action take centre stage across the country.

From Nairobi to Kisii, Awendo to Mombasa, a packed schedule of league fixtures awaits, with key clashes including Posta Rangers vs Tusker, Sofapaka vs Gor Mahia, APS Bomet vs Murang’a Seal, and Bandari vs Shabana.

“The league is ours, the flag is ours, the ground is ours,” reads this weekend’s rallying message.

Fans are being reminded that their chants, songs, and positive energy give Kenyan football its unique heartbeat.

Supporters are also being called to maintain discipline and respect in the stands to ensure stadiums remain safe, family-friendly spaces.

History Beckons For Police, Nairobi United

The spotlight, however, will be on weekend action at Nyayo National Stadium, where Kenya Police FC host Mogadishu City in the CAF Champions League, while Nairobi United will be hoping to down NEC and proceed to the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Police carry a 3–1 lead from the first leg in Somalia, but head coach Etienne Ndayiragije insists the job is far from done.

“The opposing side had a good team that can surprise you with counter attacks, that's why we have taken precautions,” he explained.

“They are opponents you have to be really cautious with and concentrate a lot on,” he reckoned.

Meanwhile, Nairobi United salvaged a 2-2 draw with NEC in Uganda, but will be counting on home advantage and support to get over the line.

Speaking to Telecomasia.net just before the match, head coach Nicholas Muyoti is adamant his charges are ready to represent Kenya, and will be in to make a good show.

“We are not coming into this competition just to participate but we are coming in to compete. The players have told me this is their Cup and they want to make history and do well. They won the tournament knowing this is what they wanted to play and they are very ready."

With continental pride on the line, fans are being asked to make Nyayo a fortress of colour and noise, urging the team over the line and showcasing Kenyan football’s passion to Africa.

“This is our chance to defend the flag and protect the ground,” the rallying statement continues.

“Victory is near, but dignity is everything. Let’s show Africa what Kenyan football means.”
