The attacker has been in good form for Simba, who collected one win and two draws in the three games they were engaged in.

Harambee Starlets striker Jentrix Shikangwa was on Tuesday voted the best player for the month of March in the Tanzania Women's Premier League.

The former Vihiga Queens forward has been consistent for Wekundu wa Msimbazi in domestic assignments.

In the aforementioned month, the 21-year-old scored three goals and helped Simba win two games and collect two draws.

The first match for Simba was at Maj Gen Isamuyo Stadium on March 9, where they claimed a point against JKT Queens. Shikangwa scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute of the match.

The former Fatih Karagumruk SK striker was on target again five days later in a 7-0 mull on Tiger Queens, where she scored an opener in the 11th minute of the match played at Uhuru Stadium.

Shikangwa was at it again in the derby against Yanga Princesses on March 22, where she scored the opener at the hour mark in a match played in Dar es Salaam.

The Harambee Starlets forward takes the award from Opa Clement, who was crowned in February. Clement has since left the Tanzanian Women's Premier League for Turkish giants Besiktas.

With four rounds remaining, the race for the season's championship is tight at the top, with four points separating the top three teams.

Simba Queens have now secured 36 points from the 15 matches played this season. They have secured 11 wins, three draws, and one loss, placing them second on the table.

Leaders JKT Queens have collected 37 points from the same number of matches as Simba, where they have won 11 and drawn four without losing any match.

Fountain Gate Princesses are in third and have played 14 games, won 10, drawn two, and lost two, and as a result, they are on 32 points.
