The experienced defender has urged his team to be more clinical against Kenya Police FC after forwards missed chances recently.

Tusker FC defender Eugene Asike has challenged his team to be more clinical in front of goal, emphasizing the need to bury chances and close off games early as they prepare for Saturday's game against Kenya Police FC.

Asike believes that converting opportunities is the key lesson Tusker FC takes into their upcoming fixture.

"We are creating chances, and that is the good thing. It would have been a worry if we were not. Now it is just a matter of being more composed in front of goal," said Asike.

Reflecting on their recent draw with City Stars, where Tusker FC squandered a 2-0 lead to finish 2-2 at the Police Sacco Stadium, Asike highlighted the importance of finishing games strongly.

"We hope to bounce back against Police. It is not going to be easy because they are a big team with big players, but we have to be up for it," Asike asserted.

The midweek match against City Stars left Tusker FC with a sense of missed opportunity.

Despite securing a point, the team felt the draw was akin to a defeat due to their inability to maintain their lead.

"It is definitely not a good feeling because we were managing the game really well and we should have buried the game with the clear-cut chances we got. In football, if you don’t take your chances, you will be punished," noted Asike.

Looking ahead to their clash with Kenya Police FC, Asike stressed the importance of mental and physical readiness, especially given the demanding schedule.

"We have to be ready to deal with the physical demands of playing three games within a week," he said. "I am calling on my teammates to give their best on Saturday."

Tusker's upcoming match against Kenya Police FC is set to be a crucial encounter.

With both teams eager to secure maximum points, Asike's call for composure and clinical finishing could make the difference.

His leadership and experience will be vital as Tusker aims to bounce back and regain their winning momentum.
