The club had unveiled the signing of Alvin Ochieng from Gor Mahia but have added two more players to bolster the squad to Pamzo’s preferences.

Shabana have added two more players to their ranks after completing the signing of Alvin Ochieng from Gor Mahia.

The Glamour Boys have added keeper Fredrick Otinda from Bandari and Bomachoge Borabu FC attacking midfielder John Lameck Unuong'a to their ranks as the club seeks to become strong enough to steer safeley away from relegation at the end of the season.

Otinda signed for Bandari after a spell in Rwanda in 2023 but struggled to displace Joseph Ochuka from the squad.

He has been pushed further down the pecking order following the arrival of KCB goalkeeper Byrne Omondi, and therefore a move to Shabana made sense as it will allow him to get much needed playing time under his belt.

Unuoga will add creativity to the side as Pamzo seeks to get his team to start being more creative from open play, as a majority of the goals they have been scoring have been coming from set-piece situations.

“It shows you that our team is very good at taking advantage of dead ball situations, but we will have to find out ways of scoring more from open play,” Pamzo said after their 2-2 draw with Mara Sugar in a friendly.

Pamzo had already declared he would not be making too many ‘radical changes’ of the squad when he was appointed, meaning that may well be the end of Shabana’s January business.

“I am not looking to sign like 12 players, that is counterproductive. If I do that, then it means I will be starting from scratch,” he added.

“All I need is them to trust me and buy into what we are trying to do. They should not panic. We are helping the new players to acclimatise because some of them came from outside Kisii.”
