Shabana coach Peter Okidi has vowed to put the upset of losing to Kakamega Homeboyz in the FKF Cup in controversial circumstances behind him by going for the FKFPL title.
Shabana head coach Peter Okidi has explained how he will get his boys to get over the disappointment of losing 1-0 to Kakamega Homeboyz under very controversial circumstances during their FKF Cup Round of 16 clash in Mumias last Sunday.
The Glamour Boys thought they had leveled matters in the dying minutes of the game but center referee Isaac Hamisi awarded a foul in the build up to their equaliser by Dennis Okoth.
Austin Odongo was adjudged to have fouled Brian Eshianda, cutting Okoth's celebrations short after unleashing a low-drilled left footed shot into the back of the net.

Ranking The 10 Best Footballers Of The 21st Century
The 21st century has witnessed some remarkable football talents on the pitch but who are the best players to ever play the game since the turn of the millennium?
The disallowed goal did not sit well with Shabana fans, who launched missiles onto the pitch in utter frustration, forcing Hamisi to halt play on security grounds.
After more than ten minutes of stoppage time, calm was restored allowing the players to return to the pitch to finish the match.
It took Homeboyz goalkeeper Ibrahim Wanzala's strong arms to keep the score line in favour of Homeboyz, as he made two great saves after resumption.
In the end, Homeboyz held on to their 1-0 win, a result that left a bitter taste in the mouths of the entire Shabana fraternity, including Okidi, as previously reported by Pulse Sports.

Government Announces Start Dates for Installation of Screens, Tartan Track and VAR Systems at Kasarani Stadium
Sports CS Salim Mvurya has provided an update on when the remaining renovation works at Kasarani Stadium will be completed before test matches start being held at the venue in June.
However, the gaffer is already moving on, and has explained how his charges can mount a title challenge in the remaining eight games of the season.
“We want to focus on our next game in the league because it is very open and anyone in the top six is capable of clinching it,” Okidi said after the match.
Currently sitting fourth on 40 points, Shabana trail league leaders Kenya Police by nine, with Tusker (48 points) and Gor Mahia (46 points) also in the hunt. Despite the gap, Okidi has not given up hope and believes there is still everything to play for in the final stretch.
“We will put all our energy and focus on the league,” he vowed. “We will fight and hopefully have something to fight for at the end of the season.”

Top 10 Greatest Goals in Football History
From Lionel Messi's spectacular against Getafe in 2007 to Diego Maradona's stunner against England in 1986, these are the top 10 greatest goals in football history.
Aside from the result, Okidi was also deeply unimpressed by the state of the pitch at Mumias Sports Complex, which he says is unfit for Premier League football.
“I would urge the federation to do something about the status of the pitch in Mumias. Two Premier League teams should not be playing on a surface like this one. The turf is very worn out. We need to consider our players’ welfare because it risks giving players injuries,” he said.
“Let us not look at pitches for the sake of it. We will focus on recovery for this week because many players pulled out during the game.”
With eight games remaining, Okidi’s side still has everything to play for. And if his defiant tone is anything to go by, Shabana may yet have a major say in where the FKF Premier League title ends up this season.
